Papa John’s is a pizza brand I personally like, and thanks to a store opening near my house, I can now have it delivered.
I already had my favorite, “Super Papa’s,” once, so I was looking for something new and ended up ordering the PapaJohn’s Double Hot Spicy Mexican Pizza.
Since the name “Mexican Pizza” was attached to it, I expected a Mexican vibe, and I chose it after seeing that tomatoes and jalapenos were included in the toppings.
Since the store is close to home, it was delivered piping hot.
IVE, the advertisement models for Papa John’s, take up a large space (on the box). The safety sticker is not easy to peel off by hand.
When I opened the box, only the large jalapenos caught my eye. I expected a Mexican food smell, but well, it just smells like pizza lol.
A generous amount of large jalapenos, meat, tomatoes, and olives are topped on the pizza.
Oh, but it’s a crust I don’t like. I never chose a crust… Looking closely at the pizza description, it says the PapaJohn’s Double Hot Spicy Mexican Pizza has the “Cheese Roll” as the default.
The thickness is just average.
Review of PapaJohn’s Double Hot Spicy Mexican Pizza:
In the first part you eat—meaning the center of the pizza—the meat is concentrated. After that, the taste of jalapenos and olives is strong, and the tomatoes in between dilute it a little bit. And finally, the crispy cheese roll feels like it finishes it off.
I think the PapaJohn’s Double Hot Spicy Mexican Pizza will have quite divided opinions (love it or hate it). If you like jalapenos and black olives, it will be a good pizza, but if not, it doesn’t seem like it would be very popular.
