Fortunately, I visited three cherry blossom spots in Chungju just in time for the cherry blossom season this year.
There are three famous places for cherry blossoms in Chungju: Habang Village, Chungju Dam, and Suanbo which is the last place to bloom.
The cherry blossoms are the same in each place, but the feeling was quite different.
Habang Village
Habang Village located behind Chungju Station. It does not have a separate parking lot.
Fortunately, parking was easy because there were cars leaving when entering the Habang village.
It was just a bank road where one car could pass by, but it was good to enjoy cherry blossoms due to limited traffic.
The road was not wide and cherry blossoms were blooming on both sides, so I could see the cherry blossoms covering the sky.
I think that was the best way to take pictures.
Chungju Dam
Fortunately, I visited on weekdays and could park nearby.
It was the worst parking space out of the three cherry blossom spot.
Of course, you can use the parking lot of the water culture center a little away, but you have to walk down a little.
Cherry blossoms are blooming along the riverside, and facilities such as decks and chairs where you can sit down and rest for a while were quite comfortable.
The cherry blossom road was the widest, so I could walk around leisurely.
Suanbo
Suanbo Cherry Blossom Road Visited a Week After Visiting Habang Village and Chungju Dam
I visited at night because I heard the night view was pretty.
I was worried that I might not be able to see it because of the rain and the sudden drop in temperature during the week.
It was well designed so that we can enjoy the cherry blossoms at night.
The cherry blossom tree was quite big, so I had to cover the sky tightly and bend my back and look at the sky.
Cherry Blossom Spot in Chungju
Although it is the same Chungju administrative district, cherry blossoms bloomed about a week later in Suanbo, so I was able to visit all of them in Chungju.
Each place has a different feeling so I think I enjoyed cherry blossoms enough this spring.
Habang Village had many visitors on weekdays and even though Suanbo was late, many people were enjoying the cherry blossom night view.
Unfortunately, the festival was not held this year, but if the cherry blossom festival is held next year, I think more people will visit to enjoy the cherry blossoms.
