Galaxy A07 One UI 9.0 Update Review

The One UI 9.0 update has started rolling out for the Galaxy A07.

I had been checking for it every day, and Samsung once again delivered before October was over.

My Galaxy S25 FE received the One UI 9.0 update in early October. Now that the Galaxy A07, one of the lowest-priced models in Samsung’s smartphone lineup, has it too, less than a month later, it looks like Samsung has wrapped up the One UI 9.0 rollout.

The One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy A07 is 2,322.25MB, which is a little larger than I expected.

For comparison, the Galaxy S25 FE’s One UI 9.0 update was 2,951.88MB, so the gap between the two models is only about 600MB. That made me a bit curious.

Galaxy A07 One UI 9.0 Update: My Impressions

Personally, I found this One UI 9.0 update for the Galaxy A07 better than I expected.

Galaxy AI and Bixby features aren’t supported, which is only natural given the A07’s positioning and specs. But almost everything else has been faithfully carried over to the Galaxy A07 as well.

When Samsung said it would provide six years of software updates even for entry-level phones like the Galaxy A07, I personally doubted it would be easy given the hardware. If this is the level of support it gets, I think that’s more than satisfying.

Lastly, the Galaxy A07 seems to be receiving a security update every two months. I had expected one roughly every three months, but so far it has arrived every two months, which I’m quite happy with too.

The Galaxy A07 is arguably Samsung’s cheapest smartphone. Its specs are modest, with the Helio G99 chipset Samsung keeps reusing and a display resolution below FHD, but the software support is excellent. Maybe that’s why Samsung holds such a large share of the low-price smartphone market.
